Mudge's Diecast Customs
This is customizing for the poor and the talentless. Ever wonder how that blue 2010 GT-500 would look with Cragar's and Tiger Paws? Ever felt like strangling Mattel's design team after seeing a lovely '67 Camaro ruined by a graphics job aimed at six-year-olds? Wish you had the skill to actually do something about it? Here's the proof that you're not as hopeless as you might think. I'll probably never own an airbrush, and sheets of waterslide decals give me panic attacks. Artistically, I have trouble drawing a blank. But in the last ten years, I've amassed a collection of over 1,000 custom 1/64ths - perhaps a third of them truly mouthwatering pieces - and all it usually took was a few minutes of swabbing Tampo graphics off of the body with a Q-tip, or a wheel upgrade from a discarded Matchbox, RC or Johnny Lightning piece. I've posted nearly every one of my customs, complete with instructions on how to duplicate my results and avoid my mistakes, because there are simply too many amazing diecasts out there needing only a few minutes' work and perhaps a couple of donor parts to reveal their true beauty. Trust me...if I can make these, so can you. And you want to, too...I know because half of my first 30 eBay offerings sold within a month at prices up to $20.
